This section will help you learn how to identify the different parts of the body in Tagalog. This will come in handy when a part of your body is in pain and you need to explain it to a Filipino doctor or nurse.

Head: U-lo – This is where your eyes, ears, nose, and mouth are, connected to your torso via your neck.

                Example: My head hurts. Masakit ang ulo ko.

Hand: Ka-MAY – Your hands (and all ten fingers) are useful for holding and manipulating different things.

                Example: Raise your hand if you have a question. Itaas ang iyong kamay kung mayroon kang tanong.

Neck: Le-EG – The neck connects your head to the rest of your body.

                Example: I like the scarf around his neck. Gusto ko yung balabal niya sa leeg.

Hair: Bu-HOK – Hair serves as a fashion accessory, a soft helmet, and a warmer in one, keeping your head looking good and safe.

                Example: My friend has curly black hair. Ang kaibigan ko ay may kulot at maitim na buhok.

Heart: PU-so – A major body organ located in your chest, the heart pumps blood throughout your entire body.

                Example: I can hear your beating heart. Naririnig ko ang tumitibok mong puso.

Breast: dib-DIB – A mother feeds their babies with milk coming from the breast.

                Example: Breast cancer is a serious disease. Ang kanser sa dibdib ay isang seryosong karamdaman.
